Understanding Your Server Allowance

DeployHQ now provides a flexible pooled server allowance that's calculated based on your plan and number of projects. This allows you to distribute servers across your projects as needed, rather than being limited to a fixed number per project.

How It Works

  • Each project receives a base allocation of 5 servers
  • This allocation is multiplied by your total number of projects
  • The resulting number is your total pooled server allowance
  • Servers can be distributed across projects in any combination

Example Calculation

For Pro users:

  • 10 projects × 5 servers = 50 total free servers
  • These 50 servers can be used across any of your projects

  • You could have:

    • 50 servers in one project
    • 25 servers in each of two projects
    • 10 servers in five projects
    • Any other combination that totals 50 or fewer servers

Additional Servers

If you need more servers beyond your pooled allowance:

  • Additional servers are billed at $0.25 each
  • Billing is calculated monthly based on usage
  • You can add or remove additional servers at any time

Tips for Managing Your Allowance

  • Regular review of server usage across projects
  • Remove unused servers to free up allowance
  • Consider consolidating servers where possible
  • Monitor additional server usage to optimize costs
